OUR STORY

Booch is the brainchild of our resident alchemist and brewmaster, Jo Hopkins. After co-founding one of Europe’s first commercial kombucha breweries in 2014 and seeking warmer climes, Jo followed in the footsteps of his pioneering hippy parents and emigrated to Mandrem Village in North Goa.

By no means ready to drop the kombucha gauntlet and with the good fortune to have direct access to some of the country’s top tea gardens, a plan was set in motion to bring world class kombucha to thirsty India.

Using fermentation and brewing techniques more commonly found in the wine and tea industries, Booch is simple, alchemical and consists of only 4 ingredients – tea, sugar, water and our specially cultivated and well-loved mother kombucha culture.

Since launching the company in 2019, Jo and the Booch team have poured everything into developing their premium and unique pure tea kombuchas; delivering a quality and complexity that is rare amongst other beverages.
